Dan Baker

May 19th, 2009 by Ned

Dan Baker is a student at Rhode Island College and one of the more active thrill-seekers of the group. It’s not unusual to see him biking long distances, streaking, or jumping off of something very tall. He also plays the guitar and banjo.

Joe Hollay

May 19th, 2009 by Ned

Joe Hollay is the diesel vehicle instructor at Cheney Tech who put together the veggie fuel system for us. Unlike most of us, he’s an adult with a real day job and everything, but he might join us for part of the trip anyway. He’s also in a blues-rock band.

Xaq Zukas

May 19th, 2009 by Ned

Xaq Zukas is a professional juggler, who has previously performed for the Oddfellow’s Playhouse circus and busked his way across Europe. He’ll be doing plenty of busking on the trip, so if you see a tall, lanky dude juggling nine torches next to a painted school bus, that’s probably him.

Mike Dozois

Mike, a childhood friend of John’s, has known him for much longer than any of the rest of us. A recent graduate of Marist University, Mike’s taking a little time off before his inevitable entry into the workforce to explore the country with the rest of us. A math major, he’s been trying to keep the books for us, but since nobody gives him their receipts he hasn’t had much success.

John “Juan” Paganetti

May 19th, 2009 by Ned
John “Juan” Paganetti is the mastermind of the whole trip. John’s been planning this since around 2005. He attends UCONN, but most of his time is spent coming up with diverting projects and trying to reverse-engineer any system of instrument he can get his hands on. This trip is the most ambitious project of his to get implemented … so far, anyway.
